Slovak Legion Br. #129
Highway safety is not an abstract issue in Northern Ontario. It is something our families live with every day.
On Monday, March 9 at 6:30pm, NDP MPP Lise Vaugeois will be hosting a Safer Highways Town Hall in Thunder Bay alongside Official Opposition Leader Marit Stiles and fellow Northern MPPs Sol Mamakwa, Guy Bourgouin, and John Vanthof at the Slovak Legion in Thunder Bay.
This town hall is part of our Northern Highway Safety Tour — a road trip along Highways 11 and 17 — focused on hearing directly from Northerners about highway safety concerns, infrastructure challenges, and the real impacts these roads have on our communities.
We know that safe, reliable highways are essential for work, health care access, and staying connected across the North. Your experiences and perspectives matter, and they will help inform the work we do at Queen’s Park.

I hope you will join us and invite your neighbours. Together, we can push for the safer highways Northern Ontario deserves.
Our public schools are under attack, and parents, educators, and community members are organizing.
Join us for a focused, action-driven town hall to organize our movement to push back and create the education system our students deserve.
Be part of it.
